DIY Rustic American Flag Holder Centerpiece
When I think of Independence Day my mind goes back to photos of old farmhouses that proudly wave the American Flag from their porches and family get togethers that last until well after dark. Fireworks, laughter, food and great times celebrating our great nation. I wanted to create something that gave that old American Farmhouse style so I headed off to Lowes where I purchased this back in the table leg section.
Lowes sells various sizes and kinds so you can pick the one you like the most. They have a piece that screws in on the bottom but just unscrew that and your piece will sit flat.
I painted the middle section with this Aniquing Glaze and the bottom and the top were painted with black paint.
This part may look scary but I promise it is not. You will need to drill holes for your flags to fit into. So find a drill bit just slightly bigger than the size of the pole and drill one in the top.
I then drilled 4 holes evenly around the sides for the rest of the flags. Add your flags and your finished!
