This Independence Day looks so different for our family. In the 19 years that I have been with my husband, we have always done the same thing. Pack up, head to the creek and spend the afternoon with all of our extended family. The children swim in the creek, and the adults lounge in their chairs, chatting, making multiple trips to the table to snack on foods. The sound of fireworks, kids splashing, and the endless chatter has made for some wonderful memories.

Welcome! My favorite part of summer is celebrating Independence Day! I love the festivities of eating delicious food, swimming at the creek, being with family and ending the night with lots of color in the sky!

I wanted to keep a simple traditional theme of Red, White and Blue on the table this year and I also wanted to work with items that I already had around the home.

I started with my centerpiece that I made and shared a tutorial for and then I added a few small crocks with some plants.

July 4th Table Setting for a Simple Farmhouse Style

I collect white ironstone dishes and they are perfect to use in table settings because they always coordinate with everything. The striped napkins are made from fabric that I had in my stash from Hobby Lobby. Mason jars serve as casual glassware and are our choice of drinking glasses around here.

We wanted to upgrade our home and after talking with a hardwood flooring company, we chose to go with hardwood floors. A manufactured home is assembled and brought out to a location in two separate pieces. It is then put together on site and they are also known as a double-wide or modular home.
