Tasty Jalapeno Popper Chicken Skillet
Tasty Jalapeno Popper Chicken skillet recipe is a simple dinner casserole made in one cast iron skillet. Low-carb and keto friendly, this is sure to be a healthy baked recipe your family will love.
Moist chicken, oven baked crispy bacon pieces, minced garlic sauteed in butter, plenty of spicy jalapeños, cream cheese, sour cream, heavy cream, chicken broth and cheddar make for a cheesy, tasty meal that comes together in one skillet.
The best part about this recipe is that not only is it tasty and healthy but it is so simple to make. This entire one skillet meal comes together in under 30 minutes once the bacon has been cooked.
As many great recipes do, this recipe starts by baking up the bacon in the oven to the perfect crispness. The perfect, no mess way to cook bacon is to layer it on a stoneware baking stone, slide it in the oven and bake. And, don’t forget to save the bacon grease, I promise it makes the best fried sweet potatoes in a cast iron skillet.
How Spicy is Jalapeno Popper Chicken
This recipe is not as spicy as you might think. My husband and I love spicy, but our children do not. However, this is a recipe that we all enjoy. To avoid the spice, be sure to remove the seeds from the jalapenos. If you want the spicy kick, leave the seeds.
