Small Narrow Rustic Entryway
I have shared several small rustic entryway ideas in our double wide manufactured home. A simple farmhouse style entryway and another simple welcoming entryway where I share before photos of this space. While both of the styles worked for our home, like most things, it was time for a bit of change.
Our front door opens directly into our family room. So, there is no coat closet or built in storage space for coats, hats or winter apparel. I have shared photos of this space on Instagram, and have had several questions, so I wanted to share this space here as well.
DIY Living Room Real Antler Decor
Our family loves the great outdoors and more of my style is starting to reflect our love for nature. Part of the small rustic entryway includes decorating with antlers that I have collected over several years.
How to Attach Antlers to the Wall
The smaller antler sets are attached to the wall by drilling a hole through the middle section of the antlers. Then use a screw to attach to the wall. The larger antlers in the middle of the grouping are attached to a board with a small hook on the wall.
Rustic Entryway Coat Rack
I can arrange our family room in a variety of ways, and I often do but, the current arrangement has the couch just inside the front door. This creates a walk way between our shiplap walls and the couch.
Therefore, there isn’t a lot of space to put in a storage cabinet for our coats and other apparel that is stored on the peg rack. I found the rustic entryway peg rack at a vintage shop here in our area, and it works perfectly for this space.
Vintage No Hunting Cardboard Signs
I was walking through a local antique shop one day when I spotted my first of several vintage no hunting signs. The first one I purchased was the No Hunting or Trespassing sign. I loved the character of the sign and began searching for more.
Most of my collection has come from well known sites like Ebay and Etsy. There a few key words that I search for. Some of those include, vintage no hunting sign, cardboard no hunting, cardboard no trespassing sign, antique cardboard no hunting sign.
So, if you are looking to replicate the look of my small rustic entryway ideas, I hope this is a help to you.
DIY Rustic Entryway Bench
I have had a small bench in our entryway for some time, but with four children and lots of shoes, it was never quite big enough. So, I recently had my husband build a simple rustic entryway bench.
The bench was a very simple build that I will share in the near future. The bench provides a place for the children and us adults to sit and put our shoes on. I realized how much I needed this bench the day I seen our teenage son put his foot on our newly built window trim in order to tie his shoes.
The bench is long enough to sit our shoes under, and has enough space for a basket where we can place gloves, scarves and hats during the winter months.
Rustic Entryway Decorating Idea
I hope that you have enjoyed a closer look at our small rustic entryway ideas in our home. It seems to be a space that continues to evolve but I truly love this rustic look in our home.
We are continuing along on our journey of remodeling our double-wide manufactured mobile home. We recently moved our home, have installed hardwood floors, put real ship-lap on the walls, removed the marriage wall and added window trim.

I’ve been waiting for your latest post and I love it. You’ve got
a knack for simple decor. Great.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful makeover! Our master bedroom door is 3.5’ in from our front door and there’s a window the same distance on the other wall- manufactured home genius is alive and well here!!!!
But my question is- where did you get those couches? I have wanted some with that well loved leather look forever, they fit the space perfectly!
Thank you. Our couches are from Lazy Boy and they aren’t the most stylish, according to trend. But, that doesn’t matter to me. These recline and are so comfortable! We have had them for 8 years and they are still wonderful!
I love your entry with your signs and that bench is scrumptious, the perfect place for your family to put their coats when they come in, maybe!!
Thank you! It’s a space that I love!
I also like to incorporate nature into my decor?. I have never seen the use of no hunting signs and I absolutely love it!!! Very unique. I have some deer skulls and have seen the used tastefully, but I can’t bring myself to use them?.
We are getting ready to remodel a 1970’s double wide. I love your walls. What type of product did you use?
We have used shiplap.
This is so awesome! I love the makeover you did! The antler mounts totally bring it all together!
My husband and I just bought an air BnB in Wyoming and haven’t been able to agree on the look of the place until I showed him these photos! Sooo cute! We just got a wall mount for the living room, and I’m excited to use the deer antlers in the entryway to give the house a really rustic, western look. Thank you so much for sharing!
I am so excited to hear that you found inspiration here! What part of Wyoming? We have friends in Gillete!
