How to Create a Simple Fall Farmhouse Table Setting
Tips and ideas on how to create a simple fall farmhouse table setting using nature inspired decorations for the centerpiece. Here is a look at how I made our dining room table cozy for fall.
Simple Tips for Creating a Fall Farmhouse Table Setting
I am a very simple decorator when it comes to decorating for the holidays in our home. I do not like storing totes away in the closet at the end of the season. Therefore, I often turn to nature to gather what I need for creating a tablescape.
Whether you are decorating for your family, hosting Thanksgiving or just a gathering to celebrate the season, try this simple gorgeous fall table setting for a country farmhouse feel.
How to Create a Simple Country Farmhouse Table Setting
Table settings for fall don’t have to be complicated. If you want a simple country farmhouse look for your fall table decorations, fill crock containers with branches and use leaves as pretty place holders.
Use Neutral Colors
To create this simple look for our dining room table, I started with a light tan and cream buffalo check piece of fabric. Often times, if I can not find a table cloth that I like, I will use a large piece of fabric.
I use white dishes for our place settings. White dishes go with any table decorations. Whenever I am out thrifting, I always pick up nice quality pieces as I know that I will always use them. For our drinking glasses, I use the old fashioned, never failing mason jars. It just does not get more farmhouse than that.
Gather from Nature
Gather inspiration from nature when it comes to fall decorating. We have a tree in our backyard that is just full of vibrant colored leaves at this time of year.
I went out and clipped a few branches to use as the centerpiece and then placed them in an old crock. I love the pop of color in our otherwise neutral home.
A few gathered leaves wrapped with twine makes a beautiful, yet simple place setting for each individual.
Create Cozy Lighting
As daylight hours get shorter in the fall, I enjoy creating a cozy feel in our home by using candles. Tapers in old fashioned style candle holders create a rustic country feel for gathering around the table.
